In 2023, ABC Cat Rescue helped 25 Pregnant and Nursing mama cats through the process and their owners as well.
We always recommend spaying your cat before they can get pregnant as young kittens being pregnant is not good for their bodies. There are some low-income spay/neuter programs in Chilliwack to help assist with this even if the cat is suspected to be pregnant but hasn’t been confirmed.
How does it work?
The Last Litter Program is to help people who have had accidental litters get their mama cat fixed for free with the surrender of the kittens.
This helps end the cycle of pregnancy as well as guarantees the kittens will receive vetting and will be spayed/neutered before being placed in a home so the cycle doesn’t continue.
The Last Litter Program includes spay, 1 FVRCP vaccine, Revolution, All Wormer, and Microchip with free lifetime registration.
